Environmental Compliance (incl. LEED)

Just because you say your company is "green" doesn't really mean anything to anybody outside of networking events. In which ways are you environmentally friendly? To whose standards are you complying? Metrically, what kind of impact are you having on the environment? Are you green efforts certifiable and verified by a governing agency? Going green is much more than a buzz-word.

Over the years, project owners have placed increasing emphasis on environmentally-friendly designs and low-waste construction processes to optimize sustainability and minimize energy footprints. Programs such as the United States Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification program (and others) have secured stronger footholds within the industry, making project sustainability something that is both measurable and desirable.

In this section, Blue Collar Labs will be focusing on industry tools that are helping the AEC establish and maintain an eco-friendly status.

The Environmental Compliance Workflow includes products that assist with: LEED checklists, LEED credit compliance, SWPPP compliance, water calculators, daylighting calculators, and more.
